At The Nature School we believe that education was meant to provide a hands on learning environment that will foster children’s wonder and excitement with the many diverse beings that co-exist with us here on our planet. Our classes are designed to inspire children to develop respect and love for nature, to foster healthy social development and to promote interaction with and service to the community. The Nature School focuses on outdoor activities; indoor activities take place in one of our tepees or the long house.

Children will participate in activities such as:
• Nature awareness
• Native American lore
• Herbal identification & preparation
• Long house & debris shelter building
• Outdoor survival
• Plant & animal identification
• Peace education

All students will also be involved in our Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) Kids-in-Gardens agricultural series.
