Girl & Boy Scout Overnight Program

Overnight Scout Events are held from Friday night starting at 5:00 pm until 12:30 pm on Saturday or Saturday starting at 5:00 pm until 12:30 pm on Sunday. Cost per child: $28.00.

Come spend an overnight at our outdoor classroom where we will use a teepee and long house as our shelters. Set among 10 acres of woodlands and fields, scout leaders and scouts can enjoy a fun-filled time of learning in nature's elements. It will be a memorable event for everyone. Troups will need to bring their own overnight gear and dress for the outdoors.

Upon arriving the first night scouts will participate in stringing Indian Corn while awaiting an authentic Native American "Three Sisters" organic evening meal made over the campfire. They will then learn about Astrology and Horoscopes and how they relate to them. Relax while stargazing under the night sky and learn to identify the North Star and related constellations, then create a drumming circle followed by Native American story telling.

In the morning scouts will begin their day with a Nature's Own and fruit breakfast. Followed by a trail trek, learning trail signs and completing a nature hunt. After a snack break, they will learn the simple skills of shelter building and finally make their own nature bag to keep their most prized possessions. During the closing Nature's Own, scouts will receive their Nature Skills Badge to honor this memorable event.
