The Nature School offers high-quality, year round earth education for children. It is surrounded by 30 acres of conservation land, abundant wildlife and nature trails and offers a beautiful setting for children to actively explore the natural world around them.
Guided by the principals of good stewardship, the Nature School strives to be a responsible citizen of the community. For example, the school provides each child with his or her own small cloth to dry their hands, rather than paper towels, and stainless steel cups and plates for snack time. In addition, by recycling and composting, the school on average has only one barrel of trash curbside each week.
The Nature School is committed to purchasing only natural furnishings and materials for the classrooms, and the children are served all natural and organic snacks and juices. Each classroom becomes a microcosm of the larger world, where the life cycles of nature determine the rhythm of the days.
