Car: From the South (NYC): get to Hartford
by your favorite route. Take I-91 N from Hartford through MA to
Brattleboro, VT Exit 3; exit right on Rt. 9 East towards Keene,
NH. At first traffic light in Keene continue straight (leaving
Rt. 9) and begin NH Rt. 101. Continue on 101 to next town, Marlborough.
About 1/2 mile beyond the blinking light and the Shell station
(formerly know as Wilber's Supermarket), turn left on Roxbury
Rd. (sign on a granite post for Glenbrook).*Proceed over the
river and up the hill 0.4 mile to a fork (GB sign) and bear left
onto Horse Hill Rd. Follow this another 0.4 mile. Take first left
(GB sign) onto Glenbrook Rd. Go up the hill, the driveway to Camp
Glenbrook is on the right.
From the East (Boston): NH Rt. 101 west through
Manchester, Wilton, Peterborough, and Dublin to Marlborough. At
bottom of the long descent into Marlborough just as you encounter
the edge of the village look for Frazier's Garage and Lees
& Mt. Fuji Restaurant and take first right, Roxbury Rd. (If
you get to the Shell station
on 101 you went too far.) Follow Glenbrook signs, two lefts to
camp (as detailed above*).
From the West: Mass Pike to I-91 north of Springfield
and follow directions from the South, or, take VT Rt 9 from the
VT border (Bennington) all the way across to Brattleboro, jog
north on I-91 one exit to Exit 3, continue east on 9 into NH,
and follow directions from the South.
Carpool:
If you are interested in carpooling, either needing a ride
or with one to email Taury.
Bus:
There are buses from NYC (about $50 1 way) and Boston (about $30
1 way) to Keene, NH (10 min. from Glenbrook). You can buy tickets
through
Greyhound.
Train:
Amtrak train service is available from New York City to Brattleboro,
VT (one-way fare $57), or from Boston to Manchester, NH (one-way
fare $10.50). The Amtrak service from Boston may, in fact, be
on a bus. Tickets may be purchased or routes explored at Amtrak.
Plane:
If you're flying in from another part of the country the Manchester,
NH airport is the closest and easiest for us to get to to pick
you up. It is also often cheaper to fly into Manchester than Boston
(Logan), which is the next closest but much more of a pain to
get to.
Email Taury to
arrange pick up from the bus station, train station or airport.
